Basecamp Oulanka welcomes you to our traditional Finnish Christmas week. A fun week of snowy adventures including a husky trip for all the family but with time to decorate your handpicked Christmas tree with your own self-made decorations, ginger cookies and relax around the roaring open fire!
Basecamp Oulanka has been providing winter adventure holidays since 2005 for British guests. Now it is your opportunity to experience Basecamp, voted as the best Adventure destination in the world in 2010. The amazing rapids of the Kitka River, Myllykoski and Aallokko. The frozen waterfall at Jyrävä.
The beauties of the Arctic winter as you explore the Small Bear Trail.
Snowshoeing through the forest in the unique “blue” twilight.
Traditional Finnish Christmas dinner and experience.
Long Husky adventure in Riisitunturi National Park.
A chance if there are clear skies to see natures very own Christmas lights, the Aurora Borealis.

Day 2 Introduction to snowshoeing and guided snowshoe walk to Lake Juuma and the forest of the Oulanka National Park
Day 3 Introduction to Cross Country Skiing on Lake Juuma
Day 4 Husky adventure
Day 5 Christmas Eve, the Finnish Christmas Day
Day 6 Castle Rock Snowshoe Walk
Day 7 Departure or Extra night and Optional Riisitunturi 5 km Snowshoe Walk
